Al Seef, a leisure destination by Meraas, tells the story of Dubai through architecture and ambiance, enabling visitors to rediscover the heart of the city along its much-loved creek.
With the rich Emirati heritage, history and culture at its core, this development consists of a heritage area, inspired by traditional architecture and a more contemporary area inspired by modern design elements and will have several alleyways, walkways, shops, cafes and restaurants. Along with this, three hotels and a marina for private yachts all come together to bridge the gap between the old and new.
The 1.8 km-long strip is split into two very distinct regions. There’s the modern site that has the contemporary Meraas hallmarks – while the other side is modelled on Old Dubai, with narrow corridors, market stall traders and buildings that have been created with an “already old” finish.
For this phase of the development, Cape Reed completed heritage style barasti shading structures and timber hand railings along the water’s edge.
This development is expected to be Dubai’s next hotspot where a journey through the past and a taste of the local culture will be an unforgettable experience for tourists and locals alike. Beautiful traditions combine with modern designs at this new destination, as the city showcases an inspiring partnership between its proud past and bright future.
Open daily from 10am until midnight, Al Seef is easily reachable, with Al Fahidi and BurJuman metro stations catering to the location. In addition, there is underground self-parking, valet parking, yacht mooring, abra and water taxi services.
